Army Benevolent Fund Tour & Talk with Guy Deacon, Wednesday 1 May 2024, 4–7pm
On the 1st May Grimsthorpe Castle is hosting a very special event with the Army Benevolent Fund which includes a fireside talk with Guy Deacon CBE. Guy is a retired British Army Officer who after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2010 embarked in 2019 on a solo overland journey from his home in Dorset to Cape Town in South Africa.
This is an incredible story, and you can join us for this special ABF fund raising day to hear from Guy and to enjoy tours of the castle with our Curator, Emma Miller, and tours of the gardens with Jim Handley, Head of Gardens and Landscapes.
