Corby Glen Local History Society will be starting a new programme of events over the next 10 months.

All meetings are held on the last Friday of the month and start at 7:30pm at the Church Street Rooms in Corby Glen.

Forthcoming events cover: Stamford and Welland Canal, Bourne Castle, Local Businesses, the history of Oakham, Charnwood slate, the history of nursery rhymes, Huntingdon Cromwell Museum, and a field trip to Torpel Manor archaeological site near Stamford in June.

A year’s membership costs £12 and gives you free entry to all talks.

To non-members, the fee is £3 per talk.

All meetings take place on the last Friday of the month, except April’s (1 week earlier to avoid Good Friday).

There are no meetings in July, August, and December.
