Thursday 11th July 2024
Talk begins at 7.15pm; Concert at 7.45pm

14th century Lincolnshire comes to life. Music, songs and dance inspired by illustrations in the Luttrell Psalter by de Mowbray’s Musicke.

From 7-7.15pm you have the opportunity to come and talk to the musicians of de Mowbray’s Musicke in person about their instruments and their history.

The concert commences at 7.45pm. They will be performing pieces to bring images from the Luttrell Psalter to life: from the countryside to the court.

de Mowbray’s Musicke are Lincolnshire’s pre-eminent Medieval group, playing music and songs from the period up to 1500 on a staggering array of different instruments and singing in multiple languages and harmonies. They also teach and showcase dances of the period.

They are in great demand and regularly work for English Heritage and at other historical sites. Their performances are a perfect blend of entertainment and information.

Expect to be drawn right into the Medieval soundscape!
