An evening of exquisite original music, styles and genres
ranging from blues to beatnik, via New Orleans and gypsy jazz
with Capitano and Dave Kelbie
Friday 10 November 2023, Swayfield Village Hall
Simon Harris (aka Capitano) is a multi-instrumentalist, performer and songwriter and member of the gypsy jazz swing ensemble Trio Manouche who came to Swayfield some ten years ago as part of the Lincolnshire Rural Touring Scheme. Since then, Simon has played as a resident at many of London’s top live music venues and performed at festivals, events and private parties all over the world. Sting, Jools Holland and KT Tunstall are amongst Simon’s fans so we are thrilled to be able to welcome him back to the Swayfield village hall stage!
Sharing the stage with Simon will be his dear friend and accompanist for many moons, rhythm guitarist Dave Kelbie. Over the last 30 years, Dave has been a prominent accompanist to many of the world’s leading jazz soloists and possibly every celebrated guitarist in the gypsy jazz world.
We are in for a real treat so book your tickets early to find out what these reviews are all about!
